Cream, marshmallow and jam or pectin jelly can be flavoured in many tastes and then used in combination or on their own. To create even more sophisticated fillings we might add dry ingredients such as dried fruit and particles of nuts or chocolate. Onto that filling a top cake strip can then be positioned if desired. After cutting these endless layered strips the next step could be the enrobing of each item with chocolate or compound.
